Nipun Meta and his friends at Charity Focus never stop to amaze me. I often post nuggets from and highly recommend their Quote-a-Day email service.
Their main focus is to help non profit organizations to a great web presence. All of that on a total volunteer basis.
In addition every Wednesday evening Nipun and his family opens up their house and let everyone in for meditation. Once a month they combine that with a re is an inspirational lecture.
Last Wednesday it was Ocean Robbins who once said:
Sometimes older folks tell me:
“I was idealistic and thought I could change the world once too, but then I grew up.”
I’m trying to help us change our definition of growing up so that it ceases to mean giving up on our ideals and comes to mean learning how to live our dreams, every day, on Earth. I want to awaken the passion and creativity of youth, combine it with the wisdom, experience and insight of elders and catalyze transformation in our world. And I believe it’s completely possible.
Ocean Robbins
Not to loose your ideals of the youth is tough.
Here are my notes from that evening.
